Illustration for DallasChild's April issue. I had a lot of fun playing with color and style for this illustration meant to portray the month of April. The type is custom designed as shown in my process below.

R's were a big challenge for this custom type, but after a lot of research, tweaking, and command-z-ing I reached the final R that was within the same geometric grid that I created all of the letters.
